All Stars / Superbowls

Since HLL's inception in 1993, we have won 20 District and Sectional All-Star titles. These successes were due in no small measure to the selection of the top players for the five All-Star Teams, their commitment to baseball and their near-perfect attendance at all practices and tournament games.

If your son or daughter wants the opportunity to be selected to one of five Hillsborough All-Star Teams, he/she must be available to attend virtually all of the All-Star practices and games. You will be asked to fill out an availability questionnaire and commit to the schedule. If your child is selected, it will be one of the most exciting and certainly most memorable experiences your child and you will share in Little League baseball. All Majors and Minors managers, along with the President and Player Agent, meet at the end of the season to select All-Stars based solely on merit and skill.

Further information on our All-Star and Superbowl selection process is available in our All-Star Information document.

11/12-Year-Old District All-Star Team

12 or 13 players are selected to this team, mostly 12-year-olds. The team participates in a double-elimination tournament. The team is announced and practices begin in mid-June. Tournament play begins in late June and runs, if successful, until early July for the District Championship, mid-July for the Sectional Championship and late July for the Northern California State Championship. If we are really good and lucky, this team could play in August in the West Regional in San Bernardino and in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

As stated above, our District 9/10-year-old and 11/12-year-old teams have won recent District Tournaments and advanced to the next round at the Sectional Tournaments. Please plan vacations accordingly. Every season, there are parents and kids who wished they had arranged their vacations so that their child would be able to play. An All-Star Team is an outstanding and memorable experience. About 50% of HLL's Majors Division players will make one of the All-Star Teams.
