1. Who is eligible to play in Hillsborough Little League?
HLL welcomes boys and girls to play in our league. Players must be between the ages of 5 and 14, as determined by the official Little League Age Chart.
In addition, all players must either live or attend school (K-8) within HLL's territorial boundaries. Our territory includes Hillsborough, San Mateo Park, Burlingame west of El Camino and Millbrae west of El Camino or north of Millbrae Avenue. The shaded areas on this map represent HLL's geographic boundaries; please note they are approximate. If you are unsure if your home address or school is within our territory, please email registrar@hllbaseball.org for clarification.
2. How do I register my child?
You sign up through our online registration system. Go to our Registration Info page to find out how to get started. If you're not sure which division to sign up for, check out the Divisions page in the League Info section of this website.
3. How do I become a coach?
You start by signing up to be a manager or coach as part of the online registration process. From this list of volunteers, the league president and the division directors select the final candidates and present them to the board of directors for approval. Background checks are also performed for all on-field volunteers. Thanks for volunteering!
4. How can my child become an umpire?
You can sign your child up to be an umpire by using our online registration system. Please check out the Become an Umpire page for more information.
5. How do I find out if a game is rained out?
Fields open/closed status is posted on the Hillsborough Recreation Department website. Updates will be posted by 2 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. on Sundays. You can find a quick link to this info in the top left corner of this website.
6. When does the season start and end?
Practices begin in early February; the exact date depends on the division. Games start in early March and end in early June.
7. Where are the fields located?
Information on all HLL fields is available on the Locations page.
8. How many practices and games are there in a typical week?
It depends on the division. Details for each division can be found on the Divisions page in the League Info section of this website.
9. Which divisions have tryouts?
All Upper Divisions have tryouts, including Majors, Minors and AAA Baseball.
10. How do I find out more about HLL's All-Star teams?
